New Endeavors By Women
The
Foundation
has been a Bronze Level Partner of the Fannie Mae Foundation's Annual
Fannie Mae Foundation Help the Homeless Walkathon since 2001. The Help
the Homeless Program raises awareness of and funds for Washington
metropolitan area organizations that are working to prevent and end
homelessness and return to independent living. Towards this endeavor, the
Foundation
designated New Endeavors by Women as our beneficiary agency. Funds to
support the Walk for the Homeless/New Endeavors by Women were generated
from personal and corporate donations and the Annual Fashion Show and
Auctions.
New Endeavors by Women
addresses the gap in transitional housing and comprehensive services for
homeless women. New Endeavors by Women provides a residential
transitional program for women which allows the women time and a place to
stay while they get their lives back together.
