Edith Strange Scholarship Fund
The Edith Strange Scholarship Fund is
in commemoration of Edith Strange, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
Inc.
Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Program
The Foundation is a Neighbor Partner of Fannie Mae’s Help the Homeless Program. The Help the Homeless Program raises awareness of and funds for Washington area organizations that are working to prevent and end homelessness and return to independent living. The Program culminates every year with the Help the Homeless Walkathon.
As a Neighbor Partner, the Foundation has designated New Endeavors by Women as our beneficiary agency. New Endeavors by Women addresses the gap in transitional housing and comprehensive services for homeless women. New Endeavors by Women provides a residential transitional program for women which allows them a place to stay while they get their lives back together. Funds to support the Walkathon/New Endeavors by Women are generated from personal and corporate donations and the Annual Fashion Show & Auction.
Breakfast Fashion Show and Auction
The twenty-first Annual
Breakfast Fashion Show and Auction
will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Washington Hilton Towers.
The Breakfast Fashion Show and Auction is the
primary fundraiser for the Foundation.
Proceeds from the events benefit funds our grant awards project.
